Virginia Stormer


Associate Director for Curriculum Development & Design

Virginia Stormer, Ph.D., serves as the Associate Director for Curriculum Development & Design. In her role she manages and oversees areas of campus need related to course-based assessment, large-classroom teaching, experiential learning, service-learning, positive psychology/well-being pedagogy, and active learning and engaged teaching. She also represents the unit in all opportunities related to meeting college and department level requests for support with redesigning academic courses, and infusing best practices in teaching and learning within co-curricular experiences.

Stormer earned her doctorate in English literature at the University of Tennessee, focusing on medieval and Renaissance drama. She holds a masters in Renaissance studies from the University of Alabama and a bachelor’s degree in English and history from the UNC-Chapel Hill.
