Teaching Plagiarism: Transparency

When teaching students about attribution, it’s often challenging to demonstrate how the rules of citation and acknowledgement are applicable outside the classroom as well. Discussing concrete examples of giving credit outside the classroom can be helpful.  For instance, content creators on TikTok and Instagram have their own ethics around “stitching” to other reels and crediting other content makers.
