Mid-Semester Mirrors: Reflecting on What Students See
Thursday, October 9
2 pm – 4 pm (Eastern)
Student Union, 169
What are your students really experiencing in your class, and how do you know, before the end of course evaluations roll in? In this hands-on workshop, you will create a custom mid-term evaluation using Likert-scale questions tied to the University’s Principles of Excellence in Teaching, along with your own open-ended questions designed to reflect these principles. We will also discuss how to interpret student feedback using a strength-based approach, focusing on teaching strengths and opportunities for growth. Reflect on your teaching through your students’ eyes and walk away with a practical feedback tool plus strategies you can apply right away.
