Artificial Intelligence in the Classroom Learning Community

Teaching and Learning Innovation (TLI) in collaboration with the Office of the Provost’s Emergence of A.I. Tools in Higher Education Taskforce, will be hosting a new Learning Community focused on Artificial Intelligence in the Classroom. All members of the UT instructional community (faculty, staff, graduate students, and post-docs) are welcome to register and attend.

This new Learning Community will focus on providing the following:

  • Creating space for campus colleagues to share ideas, discuss experiences, and ask questions with a focus on peer to peer support and engagement
  • Highlighting members of our campus community who have earned experience and knowledge in keys areas related to artificial intelligence and teaching and learning
  • Developing effective strategies for addressing and engaging key opportunities, and challenges, associated with the use of artificial intelligence in the classroom

Session #1: Classroom Expectations in the Age of A.I.

Thursday, March 30th | 4:00pm – 5:00 pm | Zoom

In this session, we will discuss ways to set classroom expectations with and for your students, as well as effective approaches for providing students with clear guidance that supports their learning.


Session #2: Assessing Student Learning in the Age of A.I.

Thursday, April 13th | 2:00pm – 3:00 pm | Zoom

In this session, we will focus on ways in which learning can be assessed and how learning can flourish with or without the use of artificial intelligence.


Session #3: Student Engagement in the Age of A.I.

Thursday, April 27th | 10:00am – 11:00 am | Zoom

In this session, we will address student engagement and discuss fun and innovative ways that artificial intelligence can be incorporated into the classroom to foster student connection and enhance student learning.
