Faculty Consultant

Josie L. Andrews, Ph. D., serves as a Faculty Consultant. In her role, she supports faculty, graduate students, and postdoctoral researchers in designing and evaluating academic courses, incorporating best practices in teaching and learning. Additionally, she supports course and curriculum-level improvements by gathering and analyzing data, offering insight into continuous improvement of the course, curriculum, and teaching practices.
Dr. Andrews earned her doctorate in Educational Psychology and Research from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, focusing on Adult Learning. She also holds an M.S. in Adult Education, with a focus on Curriculum and Instructional Design, as well as an M.B.A., both from Troy University. In addition to her work with TLI, Andrews maintains a research agenda that focuses on professional identity development, the experiences of adult learners of color, cultural analysis of media, and dignity and bullying in learning environments. Several of the research topics have been published in peer-reviewed articles.
